The designs of Groot Ship Design are made in close cooperation with the client. Groot Ship Design offers its services and designs to both shipowner or shipyard. We will always pay special attention to your demands and wishes. With our theoretical and practical experience your new design and future new buildings will have benefits which secure efficiency and operational flexibility, allowing you to make the best of your business.

We can offer designs for all types of cargo vessels: General cargo, Container, RoRo’s and Tankers. Further we have experience with special type of vessels like Livestock carriers, Dredgers, Heavy lift, Offshore vessels and Yachts.

For most of the designs we can introduce to you our Groot Cross-Bow®. The shape of the bow, which we developed in-house and tested in the ice-tank in Hamburg, together with an optimized hull shape, offers a huge benefit in bringing down the installed propulsion power. In comparison with ships in the same size the Groot Cross-Bow® allows you to install a significant smaller main engine, resulting in lower fuel consumption, lower emissions and a smooth ride in heavy weather with more comfort for crew and cargo.
